Mercedes CL

Mercedes have continued their reputation for advanced technology by releasing some great new gadgets on the new CL coupe. The new car which will be released early next year with prices starting from around £80,000 gets several new toys.
The Mercedes CL is the ultimate luxury coupe and as such has to have the latest toys. Mercedes have lived up to expectations by fitting several new toys, which we didn't even know we needed until Mercedes provided them.
Intelligent Light System The ILS adapts the headlights according to the type of road you're on. So on fast motorways the lights will look further ahead, but when you're driving more slowly, down a sweeping country lane for example, the Intelligent Light system will adjust to light up the edges of the road more effectively.
Other Safety and Performance Features In addition to ILS, the car features Active Body Control and a Pre-Safe braking system to give you the best handling and stopping power possible, and numerous other clever features. The car can even adjust the passenger seat and close the windows and sunroof in the event of an emergency in order to minimise the effects of an accident.
As usual, expect all these clever advancements to filter down to more ordinary cars in the long term. If you can't wait, then get your name down now for the CL500 with its 5.5 litre V8, or its big brother the CL600 which features a similar sized V12.
