Thank you everyone who took part in another successful event.

Stevie's Corner:"Stevie Martin" aka "Stevie Babes" - it has all gone very quiet despite the promise to tell me who you write for.

The Stannage International Stunt Team will be topping the bill on Carnival Day. This is a 'true family affair' including Mark, Janine and Aaron 'Stuntage' Stannage.

Specialising in car, motorbike, fire, escapology and high fall stunts, they perform some of the most spectacular stunts ever seen.

The show will generate great excitement and is a great crowd puller so don't miss the opportunity to see one of the UK's top stuntman / escape artist.

Braintree and Bocking Carnival committee would like to invite your club / organisation to take part in our Tug of War Competition.

The competition will be held during the afternoon on June 2nd, with the final being held in the main arena. There will be a Trophy and a crate of beer (donated by Greene King) for the winning side.

If you are interested in taking part, please download and complete the Tug of War Form

Colchester United Community Trust will be running a penalty shoot competition for children.

Full details will be available nearer to the event but the competition will take place down in the dip away from the main arena.

Boydells Dairy Farm in Wethersfield are hoping to bring some farm animals to the Carnival.

Full details are still a bit vague but sheep and lambs have been mentioned.

Braintree's Got Talent

The semi-finals Of Braintree's Got Talent will take place at Meadowside (Carnival Field) on Carnival Day at 1pm. Organised by the Rotary Club of Braintree and Bocking in aid of local charities.

Final takes place at Sparks Will Fly Party in the Park on 9th June at 3pm.

The contest is again sponsored by Domino's Pizza and £400 in prize money is available to the winner.

50 Golden Years - Braintree Carnival 2013

Braintree will be celebrating its 50th carnival in 2013. We hope that you will all be there to enjoy it with us.

Far too early to give any details of the event yet but we do plan to invite back our 'old' MC who retired a couple of years ago after over 15 years of service with us.
